Seven soldiers get murdered in assault by Boko Haram in Nigeria
The attack targeted military personnel in Konduga, Borno state, leaving seven soldiers dead and several others wounded and hospitalized.
Boko Haram, which has been active in Nigeria since the early 2000s, has carried out deadly attacks since 2009, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths. The group has also extended its operations to neighboring countries—Cameroon, Chad, and Niger—since 2015, killing at least 2,000 people in the Lake Chad Basin region.
Ongoing violence and clashes have forced hundreds of thousands of residents across Nigeria to flee their homes.
